Auslander Visa

Hello,

I am trying to trace an ancestor who came to the USA from the Magdeburg area in 1860.

Can anyone tell me where the archives for the Kingdom of Saxony "Auslander Visa" are stored. Or where can I get a copy of the visa.

Hi Jim

One important correction: The Magdeburg area didn't belong to the Kingdom of Saxony but to the Prussian Province of Saxony, so it
was part of the Kingdom of Prussia.
