Dear List members,
I am new to this list. My Name is Thomas Erickson. I live in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, USA. I have been searching for my maternal great grandparents since 1990. Recently I have been able to obtain the following information from Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bavaria (ELKB). This was only possible with the help of very a generous New York City genealogist, who found Johan's home town in Oberfranken.
ELKB supplied the information listed below, which included Johann Aumüller’s place and date of birth, his parent’s names, their place and year of birth. ELKB also provided his parent’s wedding information and their parent’s names.
1 Aumüller, Johann
geb. Michelau 12., get. 20. August 1826, Taufpate Johann Spitzenpfeil, Korbmachermeister (LAELKB, PfA Michelau, 394-51-, S. 5. Nr. 21)
2 Aumüller, Nikolaus, Hutmacher
geb Michelau 1793
verh. 20. August 1826 (LAELKB, PfA Michelau, 394-101-, S. 27)
3 Kalb, Elisabetha
geb. Michelau 1806
4.Aumüller, Johann, Korbmachermeister
5 Gagel, Margaretha
6 Kalb, Johann, Schuhmachermeister
7 Spitzenpfeil, Margaretha
Both, Johann Aumüller and his bride-to-be Maria Weber, born 1840, from Schwürbitz, Bavaria, emigrated from Bremen via the ship, VESTA, to New York arriving 12 Nov 1860. The ship manifest shows his occupation as a basketmaker (Korbmacher). (I have a great deal of information about their eleven children all born in New York City, in the United States. Their last born, Frederick Nicholas Aumüller, was my grandfather.)
My request is for help making a connection to the families they left in Oberfranken, Bavaria and to learn about other Aumüllers and Webers that may have emigrated.
Thank you for any and all help to make connections.
Greetings from Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Tom Erickson
