Antw: Re: Westendorf Sögeln

Falk,
Thank you, for the reply. Now all we need is someone to research
those records for us. Jo Westendorf Banks

Jo:

Have you looked at http://foko.genealogy.net to see if anyone is already searching your line in Germany? I have been very successful finding people to help. Some charge for their findings, others share freely.

Hi, I forwarded your search to a friend from St Louis (Gerry Meier) who also
has Westendorf in her lines. Perhaps you can find your lines crossing. Good
luck!

Greetings;
I am looking for a Frederick HUGE who came to the USA from Germany. He was
born in the Hanover area about 1846 and he appears in Carver County
Minnesota census in 1880. He may have met his wife Katharine in Ohio before
coming to Minn. If someone has access to "Germans to America" could they
look for him?

I am tracing my ggf Ernst Heinrich Bscher his wife Marie Eleonore Huge.
They arrived from Bremen aboard the ship Orpheus in New York 7 Oct 1864.
Perhaps there were HUGE'S on that same ship? I have found Bscher's and
Huge's in Cleveland in 1860's -80's but have not been able to make positive
connection.

I also just found Frederick Huge living in Carver County Minnesota in 1880
about 6 miles from Ernst and Marie Bscher's farm. My thought is that Ernst
and Marie came to Cleveland and possbily to Minnesota because relatives
either came along or were already here.

Thank you...regards,
