If you wouldn't mind a look up for me. . . . I'm researching the BOHDE
surname from the town of Hajen (still exists) SSW of Hamlin. My Great
Great Grandfather, August Bohde (born 1815) and wife Caroline came over to
US between 1850 and 1855 with their children and also Heinrich Bohde (born
1818) his brother and family and their brother Wilhelm Bohde (born 1823).
They probably left from Bremen and arrived in New Orleans, LA. They
settled in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I know your time is valuable so a look up would be greatly appreciated.
