Hello, my name is Otto Plate and am trying to leanr a bit more about my ancestors.
My grandfather Erick Kurt Plate was born in Karlsruhe in 1873. To the best of my knowledge, his father Otto Plate, was in the armed forces stationed in Karlsruhe rpior to this date. Otto Plate was born in Zebberick in 1853, and died in 1911. My grandfather's mother was Ida Hermes.............and that is all I have, except that he had a coat of arms stating that the family's origin was in Pommern.
Any help regarding mu quest will be appreciated.
