Would greatly appreciate any suggestions and information about these
families all born at Wittlage or other parishes of Bad Essen, Hannover.

    1. LENA LANGE had an illegitimate daughter named Maria Eleonor, then
Lena married a man named Schierbaum.

    2. LANGE-ALF, MARIA ELEONOR born 1849 or 1854 at Wittlage or Linne.
Maria Eleonor took the surname of her father, ALF, who had a farm in Wittlage.
    
    3. ALF, MARIA ELEONOR married about 1875 HEINRICH FRIEDRICH
KNIPPENBERG of Wittlage. Probably because Henrich Knippenberg took over the ALF farm at
Wittlage, he adopted the name of his wife's family of ALF.

    4. ALF, HEINRICH FRIEDRICH born 16 March 1878 Wittlage, died 1 April
1854.

    5. ALF, ERNST HEINRICH 28 Feb. 1905 Wittlage, died 9 Feb 1994 New York.

Perhaps this information will help you with the Schierbaum family.
Heinrich Schierbaum, Born 2 July 1822, Linnen, Court Wittlage, bei Bad
Essen.
Married Maria Elizabeth Schriefer of Pronkhausen(?) District office of
Wittlage, Hannover. Born 2 March, 1820.
Married Heinrich Schierbaum 1843 and immigrated to America 1845 bringing
with them a son named Heinrich G. Schierbaum Born 29 Sept. 1844 in
Koenigreich Hannover. First they went to Milan, Ripley Co. Ind. and then on
to Santa Claus, Ind.
If you are unable to find a Pronkhausen perhaps it is Brockhausen.
