I am new to the list. My resource is the Buch, Miers surname.
My gggfather Johannes Eucahrius Valentin Buch, I have only that he
participated in the Waterloo combat, was wounded, and received the
condecoration Gran Cross of Iron, where it is written in the lateral rim :
Valentin Buch - 1815 IAEG. BAT,
On the side, Herzog Friedrich Wilhelm. He maried Johanna Friederike Miers in
1835 and have childrens in Heimburg, Goslar, Hannover, Preussen. the last
children born in 23/04/1851 - Heinrich Theodor Christian Buch in the same
local.
I have dificult to see where I search.
If anyone have the batch number of this cities, or about militar sources I
thanks very much.
My germany language is conected with alta vista translators, but every day I
understang a little.
Every day I searche in internet, but only in IGI, I see the family with 5
childrens. Dont have batches numbers, or other reference.

I am not sure that this will be helpful to you. The emigration
records from Wolfenbüttel list a family by the name of Buch emigrating in
1855:

PERS Buch, Louis 4088
PERS Buch, Wilhelm 4088
They are listed as from the area of Blankenburg (Harz) in Braunschweig.
The town of Heimburg that you wrote about is just north of Blankenburg.
Is this your family? You can order records from the emigration
archives, which may give you more information about that family.
My map shows a church in Blankenburg so it is likely that the people
from Heimburg went to church there. There are also a castle or two in the
area.
I don't know if this is your ancestors. Perhaps you can match the
names.

And in your list dont have this person(johann) too.
I think: where he go? and of where appeared the Louis?
And the last e big problem: When and where My Valentin Buch died and are
buried?And Who are the father and mother of him?
