I am searching for information on Ludwig Ahrens. Ludwig married Anna
Katherine Bach in Germany and they had at least one son. His name was Herbert E.
Ahrens. Herbert was born Feb. 1, 1880 in Bremen Germany according to the 1920 St.
Louis, Mo. census.

Perhaps you have already looked at some of the items that are available
from the Mormon records. If you search for Bremen in the Family History
Catalog, there is an index or two for civil registrations and the like. You
can order microfilm at the LDS centers.
Do you know when they emigrated to America? Have you checked whatever
church records are available in St. Louis? They have so much genealogical
material available at the St. Louis library.
You are dealing with a fairly common name and Bremen is a large city!
