Hi,

I am trying to find out about an ancestor of mine:
Adolph Heinrich David Teepe ( born in Oldenburg 1842), his mother is Anna Sophie Teepe but the father unknown, so I am stuck here.
I wonder why Adolph moved to the Netherlands/ Hoorn? And about Anna’s relatives.

Are you speaking of the city or the grand duchy of Oldeburg as far as
birth goes? Teepe is quite common in the Oldenburger Münsterland -
Cappeln, Essen etc

I also have TEPE's (little different spelling) in Wardenburg and the city of
Oldenburg. None matching your exact name though.
