I hope someone will be able to help me. I need to find the postal address for the
Evangelical Parish Church in Leba known as Leta today.
I am hoping that the church still exits today and that there will be someone I can write to.
My Great Great Grandmother Henriette Charlotte Drafts was said to have been born in
Leba in March 1820. She emigrated to Australia in 1873 with her second husband Carl
Heinrich Wittkopp. The surname Drafts was given on her daughters marriage certificate
in 1881, but we are not sure if that is the correct spelling.
Her first husband was Johann Klopp who she married in 1842 in Darschkow Kreis
Lauenburg now known as Darzkowo . She had at least three children in this marriage.
Auguste born circa 1844, Albert Ludwig born circa 1849 in Darschkow and Johanna
Henriette in 1853.
She later married Carl Heinrich Wittkopp in 1861 in Darschkow. Carl was said to have
been born in Bepke Laurenburg around 1832. We haven't been able to find Bepke.
Henriette and Carl had two children.
Pauline Henriette Ernestine Wittkopp in 1861 in Darschkow and Carl Rudolph in 1864 also
in Darschkow.
If anyone has any information on
1. The address for the Pastor for the church of Leba
or
2. the family Drafts, Wittkopp or Klopp
or
3. The location or correct spelling of Bepke.
