3-4 Given Names

Now is the time to go back to giving children three or four given names
because of identity crises. I talked my youngest daughter into giving her son
three given names (in 1999).

For example my girl friend had to go to court because someone with the same
name (same middle initial, too!) had moved and hadn't paid her rent. The
judge did throw out the case because my girl friend's social security number was
not the one used by the other gal.

As far as my German great grandfather-his name was Johann Konrad Weiker. He
was called Conrad here in the states yet he gave himself the middle name
Henry maybe because he had three brothers in Germany whose first names were
Heinrich He was named for his Godfather. His name Conrad was passed down to a
grandson, gr. grandson and now to a gr. gr gr. gr. grandson. My grandfather Carl
Friedrich Werner was named after his father. He was known as Charles
Frederick and was called Charles. His name Charles has been passed down for four
more generations either as a first name or middle name. It's nice that there is
still a Charles Werner carrying on the tradition.
