I would be grateful if some kind person, who has access to the 1852 Hannover Census, would do a look-up for me.
My great grandfather was ERNST ENGELHARD Born in 1849 in HANNOVER (possibly in Amt Hoya?)
his father was Fredrick Engelhard and his occupation was a "joiner" (carpenter??)
Ernst migrated to Liverpool/England some time in the 1860's where he worked as a hairdresser.
