1819 Census

It has been suggested by one of your
searchers that I try this census. I sure
would appreciate a search of FREDERICH and FREDERICKA ZAHRNDT. They
came to USA before
1854 as their first child, Sophia, was born
in NY in that year. They settled in the
State of Missouri.

I do show Fredericka being born 1828, and she was also from Mecklenberg
area.
This is all the information I have found on
my GGparents.

I do sincerely thank you for any help,
and your time.

Hi,

Zahrndt has more than 20 entries in the census, in all parts,
but with a concentration in parishes:
Schwinkendorf, Rittermannhagen and Basedow.

Please, before asking further questions read the following first !

I offer look ups for 2 sources:

1) Schubert index of the 1819 census of Mecklenburg-Schwerin
2) Schubert index of the marriages 1800-1875 of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

If you are not sure, if the place you are interested in belongs to one
of these areas, consult the free location database at www.MFPeV.de.

If a name appears too often, say more than about 10 times, it makes no
sense to list them all (and I do not have the time to do this).

Note that the index of the 1819 census contains surnames only
(no first names and other informations). Afterwards you should try to
read
the original census...

Note that I do not have the sources in electronic form. I have to look
through all the books.

Sincerely,
Hans-Dietrich Gronau
